Revainrating 5 out of 5

3) Remove the vertical nut holding the link assembly. 4) Remove the horizontal screw that connects the link assembly. 5) Use

I used this to repair my 2003 Cavalier. I needed the larger one to swap the connecting wire to the switch. That was a bit of a problem because I didn't know exactly how to get to everything. 1) Unscrew the 2 nuts connecting the brake booster. 2) Unscrew the other two screws to release the assembly. 3) Loosen the vertical nut holding the link assembly. 4) Remove the horizontal screw that connects the link assembly. 5) Use a large flat head screwdriver to break open and clean the rest of the grommet in the cable. 6) Use a small inserted C clip there to connect the grommet to the cable 7) Use the C clamp to connect the cable to the switch (much easier than the previous step) 8) Close everything back to. After reconnecting, the cable plays a little, that's right. You need to move the switch all the way forward to see the vertical nut holding the link assembly. I wasn't able to separate the electronics under the connector assembly so I used the clip that came in everything to insert the grommet. It would be better to pull the entire cable out from under the hood, which means an extra step of removing the electrical connector on the underside if you have balls to try and pry the 12-year-old plastic. I added 1 zip tie to the jumper cable and switch to ensure everything stays connected. shouldn't i have 0 experience with cars and just use google and youtube to fix this. It took about 2 hours in total and I learned a lot.
