It is ideal as a compost bin for the kitchen.
We use it for kitchen scraps and it works great. Combined with other red appliances in the kitchen. We toss it in the compost every day or two. Easy to clean. The inner bucket slides out and keeps things closer. The best part is that it forms an airtight lid that prevents fruit flies from breeding inside. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to store food waste. I don't know how it works on ice because we've never tried it.
