Reason 4 instead of 5 stars!

When I bought this product I knew I had to "improve" it, at least for the way I wanted to use it. I would like to add that this product was great right out of the box, everything came as expected and was easy to put together. As a heavy equipment and diesel truck technician, among many other jobs, I have a ton of parts, tools, and what the average Joe would consider junk. So I didn't have much space in my garage. The horizontal mounting of the crusher (like the others and I think how it was designed to be mounted) was very unattractive to me and felt like it was taking up too much space. I went the route of mounting the crusher vertically with about 6 inches of clearance behind the "ejection port". The reason for this was to allow the can to slide through the hole and into my trash can. Well, how to eject the glass by itself without having to press it with your finger after each cycle. I thought of many different possibilities; like a spring-loaded pin (similar to a pinball machine) in many different variations, either by hand or by the action of a cylinder. Then it dawned on me: just use the air that the cylinder expels upwards with each stroke. Well, simple enough, I had a ton of hoses and fittings to do it with. I removed the pre-silencer from the air valve, connected it to a 1/8" NPT, installed flexible hose and added a 90ยฐ fitting to the other end. Then drill a hole in the front and center where the can was left after crushing. I used a 1/8" NPT nozzle from a water sprayer I had lying around to connect to a 90ยฐ fitting through a freshly drilled hole. (Just warning: be sure to use a narrow end fitting when doing this, or the crush plate at the end of the barrel will break the fitting. Also, the cans will not get into the chamber.) You can see how narrow I am talking in the video. Overall the product works as intended and is easy to use, but I wish they offered this option from the manufacturer.
