First, I should note that this is a review of a USB-C to USB-B MIDI cable. black cable. I bought a "red" Lightning to USB MIDI cable from the same product page and it works very well for this purpose. Anyway, I tried using this cable to connect my MIDI keyboard to a 4th gen iPad with USB-C and it only worked when I wiggled the cable a bit, but it just gave me five minutes of operation before it burned down. The end of the MIDI didn't fit my keyboard too snugly. There may be a problem with questions and answers. I do not know.
