Our old humidifier just broke after years of heavy use. All humidifiers have a plastic construction and can easily break when transported or dropped. So I test this new one for days and only check for leaks after each use. No leaks. I have it on a fold out TV tray so I can easily see if it's leaking. #2 It's very simple: fill the tank, put it on the device, switch it on, switch the switch from off to low or high. It turns off automatically when empty. The level of mist and heat is just right for our 14 x 14 bedroom. So I'm giving this a great grade for meeting my expectations - 1st time out of the box. #3 - The price was reasonable for "occasional" use.
