I bought this straightening iron for a trip abroad where I needed a device with a European-compatible voltage. I just got back from Spain and wanted to write a product review. All in all it worked very well. PROS: * Heats up quickly * Doesn't get caught or tangled in hair * Glides on smoothly * Only one pass of hair is required on relatively small sections (coarse, thick hair) The only negative I deducted a star for me got is that it doesn't work as an everyday straightener. While it has worked great in Europe, when I use it the light in my room here in the US flickers the light in the room I am in. I believe it has to do with the dual voltage of the device. This may not be a problem for everyone, but it is for me. However, it was inexpensive, so having a hair straightener that can only be used abroad is not a problem for me. If you're looking for an everyday device, I'd look for a non-dual voltage device (but recommend the company if they make one).
