To be honest I didn't have high hopes for this given the price. I thought it was a cheap Chinese product. But when I opened the package and touched the product, I was pleasantly surprised. It has a nice rubber grip, the awl tip itself is immaculate and there is even a little cap to protect the awl tip. As for the awl itself, that's exactly what I was looking for. It has a long, thin point that expands slightly before becoming noticeably thicker and is quite sharp. It suits my immediate needs perfectly and I think I will find many other uses for it. Long story short: I guess I'll regret not getting one years ago.
