I bought this filter mainly because of the size and the built in heater. I had a specific spot to place my filter and it was the right size for my 22g length. It keeps the water clean and is very, very quiet. Set up was easy and I think the method of preparation is very simple. In fact, I like it better than my "self-priming" filter on another aquarium. Heating. is working? For example, it gives off some heat and actually works well during the day. But I think I'm asking too much for a 100w heater. I don't have a lid and at night my house is usually 66-69F so the heater can't handle it. During the day when my house is 72 he can increase it to 78 or so if it's turned all the way. But it just gets too low and I don't like it when it rotates to 90 degrees. So I ended up having to buy a second heater to go in the tank to actually maintain the 79Β° I wanted. But I like to have a backup filter in case something happens to the main heater in the tank. So it's a good reassurance. I also don't like the attachment with suction cups. I would prefer brackets. In general, the water is clear and very calm, but the heating is not convincing, as I suspect that the flow around it is not ideal. The flow is good considering the size.
