They look very strange as towels. Like trying to use microfiber lens cleaning towels to dry off after a shower. There is a lot of friction, and at first the absorption seemed small. But I'm used to them. They are very soft and fluffy on one side and soft and less fluffy on the other. They stretch well and don't slip off the body. They stay in your hair. Also, they are so big. I snuggle up to them and wrap myself in them, and I'm not a little flower girl. Pros: Soft, fluffy, keeps you dry. You may wish to purchase a different set. Cons: You have to clean your glasses with it. Also, you may initially have conflicting feelings about how they feel on your skin. I like her. I just had to get used to something that wasn't 100% cotton.
