I am a handyman. I like to work with everything that has the basic functions of electronics. I also restore and repair electric guitars. I've tried quite a few soldering irons over the last 30 years. I needed a well-designed, reliable and easy-to-use workstation that would allow me to control the temperature depending on the task. After looking at the reviews on YouTube, of which there are quite a lot. That's why I chose Silodi. It was priced fairly and was on par with the competition. When it arrived my first reaction was that there was a brick in the box. It's definitely reliable. I got the beast up and running quickly. At startup I immediately got S ----- E. As stated in the manual, I turned it off and checked everything. Iron needed some tightening. Reboot and voila! It heats up quickly! The iron fits well in my M/M hands. It's about 8 inches long and lightweight with a soft, tangle-free finish. It simply switches from Celsius to Fahrenheit and retains previously used settings. A standout feature is a sleep mode that takes effect after 20 minutes of non-use of the device. The stand is made of aluminum with a stand that securely holds the iron.
