Did the job for a formal cocktail party though if you find yourself needing an 'evening bag' often I would go with something more quality that will hold up better. The purse is extremely stiff and though it should be large enough given the size and depth, because of the stiffness you can really only put one layer of stuff. So for example if you put your makeup compact next to your lipstick it makes the purse bulge too much to close. You have to stack your lipstick on top of your compact. Hope that makes sense and helps someone, it;s a bit hard to explain.
