Review on Safety Outlet Cover Shortener for Industrial Electrical Applications by Jeff Drollinger
Must be modified for round cables (heaters, extension cords, etc.).
These are great for keeping prying little fingers away from outlets you've yet to use, but will only work as-is with thin ribbon cables. . Any round cord will not fit in the "housing". I used a pair of wire cutters to cut off the cable tie and now they are perfect for our needs.
