Not very practical butter plate
I don't know what I was thinking when I ordered this butter plate. The deep rims make it difficult to get a few chunks of butter out - now I understand why standard butter slabs usually don't have rims (for easy slicing of butter). The wooden top is pretty but also impractical - difficult to keep clean and oil stains are inevitable, especially if you use the included knife. This large plate takes up a lot of space when stored in a cupboard or placed on a kitchen counter or table. I thought it would be an appealing dish when I first saw it online, but now I'm reaching for the traditional, more practical butter dish in my cupboard rather than this one.
