I bought a pair from TJMaxx ($8) they are thick, comfortable, don't burn and fit my fingers perfectly. This eliminates most of the fabric padding, allowing you to securely hold heavy pans and casseroles. I decided to order a pair for a friend and niece as a gift. The ones offered here are DEFINITELY TOO THIN to be sure. I read a review from another buyer where she put one inside the other and the thickness is perfect. I'm considering gluing them like this, but the question is what happens if you clean them with soap and water. I don't know why the company didn't make a strong and secure pair instead of two thin pairs. I'll give you the attached note to double up just in case. DO NOT RECOMMEND if you don't mind doubling them, which was fine. Not sure if they will be safe.
