Review on ☕ Keurig K-Supreme Plus SMART Coffee Maker, Single Serve K-Cup Pod Coffee Brewer with BREWID and MultiStream Technology, 78 Oz Removable Reservoir, Brews 4 to 12oz Cups, Black Stainless Steel by Allison Jones

I've been a Keurig fan since I bought their original machine two decades ago. The main attraction is fresh and delicious coffee in less than two minutes. They've added a number of features over the years. The machines are much more reliable, quieter and make it easy to brew a strong drink. (which every real coffee lover needs) Unfortunately, the new SMART model does not add any value. The WiFi setup and integration with the phone app is unreliable and obviously an immature product. New options make it difficult to just brew a good cup of coffee. You have to wait for BrewID to decrypt your pod. At least 1/3 of the time if it doesn't recognize the pod (official Keurig brands) and asks you to put it in the car. When you open and close the lid, the five holes will leak during brewing. My suggestion is to go with one of the less complex models. And it comes from an experienced software engineer who can tell good design from bad. Accessories: excellent; Software: incredibly bad. I sent the device back and will probably buy a simpler K-Supreme model. Conclusion: Keurig was a great invention and since they focus on coffee and not tricks, I'd like to raise my rating. The Plus model works well with the exception of SMART. Much easier to operate, no issues with WiFi unreliability and no lags while the machine tries to identify the K-Cup and set its own brew cycle. Hardly necessary as the best options are: (1) as hot as possible, 192 degrees; and (2) as strong as possible, an 8 ounce setup with quality cups. Their Barista Prima line is really excellent. Using Illy pods brings you closer to a premium espresso machine, it has to be the new and improved five needle design.
