I wanted to see if the kit would confirm bacteria so I did a contaminated H2O sample. The best information I could find led me to believe that the septic tank liquid chamber contains 235ppm bacteria (bottom panel). I used carbon filtered water to dilute it to a 9ppm test sample. I had to build an incubation oven and 40w lightbulbs in a box was enough for 30-34°C. The kit confirmed the presence of bacteria but required a 24 hour incubation. There is nothing misleading about the product description. I didn't spend any money to find the set's minimum detectable concentration. All I can say is that it worked in this case. Maybe the seller can send me free kits for another solution.
