Review on πŸ‘œ Etekcity Digital Luggage Scale with Temperature Display: Efficient Travel Companion by Dawn Mattheis

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good scale for travelers with small problems

Good simple scale. Perfect to take with you when travelling. Works as advertised and is accurate enough for luggage. I've measured items up to 38 pounds and it seems fairly accurate (within the stated accuracy). I like the fact that he keeps his testimony. It can measure the ambient temperature. I do not understand why. In terms of usability, I now have to press the units button multiple times to get past the C and F units to switch from kg units to lb units. It also interferes with unit conversion and the hold function. If you are in pounds and want to see in kilograms, you will see the temperature first, which will clear the weight reading. Basically, every time you see the temperature, the weight reading disappears. This should remain until manually erased with the Z/T key. Another issue with ergonomics. This block is suitable for luggage that you can easily lift with one hand. For heavier ones, you may need both hands (palms up) to lift the luggage and keep it off your body. But the small handle can be bent, which digs into the palm. I think keeping the contour flat on the bottom might be a better design. Trying to bring your palms down with your fingers is easier, but it's difficult to keep the luggage away from the body and I can only get 3 fingers on each hand underneath. I wish it would use a regular AA or AAA battery. Also, I see from other reviewers that the battery doesn't last long. If so, then the rating gets one star.
