I make a lot of bone broth on my IP, mostly chicken, and keep all the chicken bones in the freezer until I've won them - not enough to make bone broth make. I also add onions, celery, garlic, flavorings, etc. to the broth. This strainer makes it so easy to take everything out and just let the broth sit. I pour the broth into a large saucepan to cool. Then I soak the IP liner and screen in hot water and Dawn dish soap for a few minutes. The mesh is easy to clean. I use a soft brush on the outside where the mesh meets the stainless steel rim. No rust. I am very happy with this product and have used it several times before writing this review.
