After reading other reviews I purchased this item a size up from my normal size. I definitely could have gone with my normal size. It was slightly big but not enough to return it. I like that it sits a little higher on my hips so I don't have to worry about it sliding off when I am sitting or squatting. The length is also good. I spend a lot of time in the pool so my swim stuff tends to bleach and stretch fairly quickly but these seem to be holding up well. I will be purchasing a new pair when my current ones wear out.
