Review on π‘ High-Performance White Fiberglass Amateur Dual-Band Base Antenna: Pre-Tuned for 144MHz-148MHz VHF and 430MHz-460MHz UHF Bands by Eduardo Reyes
Good for 2M - not yet tested for 70cm.
Roof mount powered by Kenwood TM-255A. Easy to assemble - and (because the antenna is small) should be able to withstand any wind that might be around. The SWR is very flat on the 2m band, I also run CW at the very bottom of the band and FM phon. I can hit the furthest repeater here with 5 watts - can't be beat at all with a handheld! The review will be updated as I check 70cm and will try a scanner as well - Fire is still running at around 150MHz and some public services are still running at 460MHz (e.g. prison). The state police also have a long-range repeater for 460 MHz.
