This is a fairly flat, rectangular product. The photo of the product seems to indicate that it is deeper than it is wide - it is not - it is only 3 inches deep, it is not a deep plate - the photo is very misleading! Also, product lids are not airtight and are definitely NOT dishwasher safe. When you wash them in the dishwasher, the edges of the lid stretch a little, tear and tear. Otherwise, it's a handy size and good for cooking or storage. If you need a tight seal, you need to put plastic wrap under the lid.
