My girlfriend and I were discussing some of the things we include in our "self-care" plans and she mentioned diamond painting. She said focusing on at least an hour of "painting" a day helped reduce her anxiety and stress. I was looking for something that could help me deal with stress and anxiety and decided to give it a try. She was so right! The project was boring enough to distract me from things that caused me anxiety/stress, but not so hard that it frustrated me. The key was clear, the 'diamonds' were nicely packaged and clearly labeled, and the product had everything you needed to complete the project! I made this sloth for my mom (she jumped on the sloth train) and she loves it!
