People complaining about this case are smoking weed. THIS IS A FIELD CASE, Zoom has already provided you with a nice general purpose plastic case that accompanies the H5. This rugged case is designed to keep dirt and SOME moisture from getting into the unit. THIS IS NOT a waterproof case, the XLR/TRS inputs are open at the bottom, but this is not a problem if the inputs are occupied. Rather, this case helps prevent the elements from falling onto the device while operating in light rain, dusty conditions, etc. and protects the device from wear and tear and dirt. Good bag for quick microphone change. If you want to collect sounds in a potentially dirty or damp place, this case is a must. that's for it, but I'd just save some money and use the case you have with your H5.
