Update: So you can read my first review below but after checking the product I was immediately contacted by the company who apologized and said, it is not as it should be its product and will send a new device immediately. Received the new devices today and am pleased to see that these items are indeed a great product. I now have perfect seals and lubrication on all four contact points. Also, it's not as rigid anymore, so the hood closes properly when lowered. I'm so glad this company was able to provide me with a good product as I now want to replace all 3 of my vehicles with carriers that this company offers. First review: Well, the frames work and fit, but that's about it. The first minus is that immediately after opening the package I noticed that the racks were rusting near the seal, then the seal was torn off on the second. It is terribly sad to see in a brand new product that there is absolutely no rust on my original parts and it has been there for over 7 years. Besides, these struts are actually too strong. Most struts provide enough pressure to hold the hood up, but once you start pushing the hood down there has to be a point where the hood really starts to lower. However, with this product you have to close the hood by force. I'll live with that for the price, but at least I didn't expect rust.
