Review on 🌬️ Casablanca Caneel Bay Indoor/Outdoor Ceiling Fan: Energy-efficient LED Light & Convenient Wall Control by Theresa Grieve

Nice but uncomfortable

Extremely picky about working. When you're asking this price for a fan, there shouldn't be any problems at all, and we've had a lot of problems. we've ever installed (we make a lot of them). The motor and blades are very heavy and you can tell they are of high quality. The problem is related to the remote control and the actual operation of the fan. Pros: The fan looks really good and is rated for high loads. When it works, it moves a lot of air. Cons: It almost never works. 1. The first disadvantage I feel is that the fan cannot work without a remote control. This is another thing that can break down your fan and render it unusable, and that's what we're going through right now. The remote needs to be paired for the fan or lights to work and it keeps getting disconnected for some reason. The first few times I was able to reset it by turning the switch off for a few minutes and then plugging the remote back into the fan. However, the fan and light no longer work. This is true whether the remote is plugged in or running on its own batteries.2. It makes a VERY buzzing noise. I know it's not my electrician because I checked. Also the Hunter fan that came before it made no noise at all. 3. The light is not bright enough when you put the cap on. The lights seem bright enough when you first screw them in and turn them on, but once you put the cap on they don't glow much. The cap kills the most lumens. I know a lot of people use this fan outside but we were hoping to use it in the bedroom. It should definitely not be used in rooms where it will be the only light source. The specs are misleading as they claim the fan is putting out lots of lumens but they don't mention that the cap kills maybe 50-60% of the brightness. I think the fan itself will last a long time, but there are a lot of problems to solve with remote programming and they really should give you the option of hardwiring with a switch as a backup for the need for remote control. I'm not an idiot, but I get really frustrated when you buy an expensive product and spend a lot of time getting it to work. I'm sure they will refund us for this, but they cannot refund the man hours we spent getting this to work. Not to mention how long it takes to assemble one of these and pack it properly for shipping.
