My previous cable from another vendor failed because of bent connector. So I bought this one since it was advertised as durable. Well it failed too. If it gets bent just from the fact that my daughter puts it into her backpack without disconnecting from the iPhone, then, it is not durable. There is not that much stress while the is cable wrapped around the phone. And nobody sat or walked over the backpack if you think that it could have caused a high load onto the connector since it was still connected to the phone.The matter got worse when my wife's cable bent too. The bent was so small that one could not tell. But the connection got lost. This means that the wiring in the connector is not durable.I would advise to try another "durable" cable.
