Built-in protectors are good, but the built-in protectors on the arms and shoulders slip a lot when putting on the jacket. Likewise, the inner lining is quite thin and of poor quality. I've had a Joe Rocket jacket before and I've definitely noticed a difference in the quality of the lining. Also, the zippered chest vents for airflow are a joke - there's really no ventilation when they're open. The zip pockets on the front are good, as are the sleeves, but the velcro on the wrist is not well aligned and often comes off. More importantly, the waist is VERY large. I bought a small one that roughly fits my arms and chest (36ft chest) but the waist is probably 3-5 inches larger (I wear size 29-30 pants). The size chart says 28"-30" waist but that's not true in my opinion. I didn't think it mattered much when I tried it on, so I went for a walk and regretted it. I would have returned it if it hadn't been spattered with bugs along the way. I can't complain about a $100 jacket, but if you have a slim figure I would look elsewhere.
