**UPDATE** My old Dane-Elec 8MB stick proved to be very durable (see my original review below), but I've had bad experiences with it my new 32 MB drive. The top piece that I attached the key ring to broke off after just a year of use. Revain graciously replaced that drive with an identical one, which met the same fate just three months later. As this part of the disc clearly has flaws, I lowered my rating to two stars. The Dane-Elec can still be a good drive if you keep it on your desk, but if you need to carry it around, particularly in a way that can sometimes weigh down its top, you might want to look elsewhere. I've been using a SanDisk Cruzer for the past six months and it's been working damn well so far. **FIRST REVIEW** Dane-Elec flash drives are more durable than others I've used. Their cases are made of hard rubber rather than brittle plastic, and most of the case slides out to securely protect the USB port. (The foil is an improvement over the regular lid, which is easy to lose.) I've seen test results showing it's not the fastest drive available, but I didn't find its speed bothersome. As I outgrew my old 8GB Dane Elec drive, I decided to upgrade to a 32GB drive, mainly because I appreciated its durability. Other drives now seem flimsy to me in comparison.
