I had a monitor/laptop stand to stand on but found it was taking up so much space on my desk. I was looking for something that would hold my monitor and laptop above the table. Not only did I want to take it off my desk, but I also wanted enough space underneath to store my 10-key keyboard when I needed to lay out documents. My husband, an engineer, and I researched and reviewed so many options for over two weeks. I was suspicious because the reviews said it was wobbly. No, that is not so. You just have to be careful to screw it down like you would any other type of stand. This stand is very sturdy, gives me back 80% of my desk that was covered by another stand and is the perfect monitor height so I can look straight at it instead of down. Very easy to assemble. I'm so glad I took the risk. It is exactly as described and I intend to use it for a very long time and will probably buy it for our home.
