I know that there are some negative or not very satisfied customers, but I am very satisfied with them. The flare at the end is wider than the actual caliber. BUT, the torch is "soft" unlike some I've bought which have really sharp edges and it hurts trying to fit it in the hole. I like that the bell is so wide because I take it out. Just change the color and clean the ear. I wear them in the shower, in bed, etc. The wide claw really keeps them in the ear. I can't count how many tunnels I've lost because the fit is 'right' but there really isn't anything holding them in the ear. You just have to be careful and insert ONE end inwards and pull down slightly to insert the other inch. Of course, if you just stick them in, your hole will burst. I liked the variety and there are 13 pairs of natural stones. Mine has 2 pairs called Adventurescent or Gold Stone that are man made. So I paid over $4.99 for ONE natural stone tunnel, not a pair. For this price I'm satisfied.
