January 10, 2021 I am ordering black to replace my old black Danco hose and head assembly. The product arrived on time. At first glance I suspected the product had been repackaged judging by the flimsy used clip. I checked the 1/4" hose nut for scratches or dents and everything seemed fine. When I removed the nut from the spray head, I noticed that there was no rubber washer inside. After reassembling everything and adding my own rubber washer, the spray head works as expected. Without the rubber washer it leaks when I just sprayed water. 1. If you have an older Danco spray head, don't expect the components to be like this. 2. The user manual posted in the product listing should be updated to match the newer version of the spray hose assembly. It is currently for an older one Model. The step and part diagrams do not match. 3. I have to assume Danco will send this one product to everyone without a rubber washer This explains all the one star reviews and the disappointment of customers who experienced leaks after installation. Without rubber washers water penetrates. than a dime. If the item should be used without the rubber washer, you may want to revisit the newer modification and revert to the old one. Think how many four or five stars you get, which leads to more sales.
