Review on Godox V860II S Speedlite Compatible HVL F60M by Aaron Franklin

First of all this flash is a great price compared to well known brands. But don't expect it to last 5 or 10 years or more unless you handle it very carefully. The hot shoe leg is plastic and will break. I have a light shoe adapter stand, these were the ones that attach the shoes on either side. (Another rant the other day about these adapters being the standard when they shouldn't be) I could tell right off the bat that tightening it any further would cause the pad to bend and break. but you want them to be firm so it doesn't fall off the light stand. I've seen sites like Ali Express selling spare parts for it (replacing the piston isn't that difficult, it has 4 bolts). If these devices had metal hot shoes I'd say that's not a problem and skip all the trademarks, but sadly that's not the case. Shit, you should gamble $500 on a branded logo flash with a metal shoe for durability when they just want a basic metal replacement part. 3/5 stars. To update. 0/5 stars.
