Review on Men'S Wool Baseball Cap With Fur Earflaps - Hunting Trapper Dad Hats In Unisex Sizes M, L & XL by Sammy Suratno

Cap fits great but ear flaps need some design tweaking

I normally wear a 7 1/8 to 7 1/4 cowboy hat so I ordered the medium which, with the ear flaps up. fits perfectly. It's comfy and warm and is snug enough to keep from falling off or even getting blown off in a moderate wind but not so tight as to eventually give me a headache.Unfortunately. when I put the ear flaps down, the fit is no longer perfect. When I put down the ear flaps the back neck wind guard portion hits the top of my jacket collar which then causes the bill of the cap to tip further down. This causes the tip of the bill to greatly obstruct my viewing to the point where I can either only see the ground out to about 15 feet ahead of me or tilt my head back as though i'm looking slightly above the far horizon but having to look through the lower part of my glasses to actually see straight ahead. It's not very comfortable having to walk around like this. Additionally, with the ear flaps down and the back of the cap being pushed up by my jacket collar, this also causes the otherwise snug fit of the ear flaps over my ears to be pushed out, thus allowing the cold air to hit the bottom of my ears while the tops remain warm.I'll probably stick it out with this cap for the winter to get some value for my money but I will be looking for other options and this cap will more than likely be in my next garage sale.To the manufacturers. Reduce the downward angle of the bill slightly, make the ear flaps slightly longer so they extend down and back about another 1/2" and reduce the back neck wind guard by about 1/2" and I'll gladly try it again!

  • Hats & Caps
Cons
