very heavy lens, I thought about the Sony FE 24-70mm f/2.8 GM lens too, but I'm glad I didn't take the GM lens - it's still there heavier than this. very diverse. suitable for landscapes, portraits or zoom. I'm not a professional user, just dad wants to take good photos of kids. not very sharp you say, it's sharp enough for me, fast enough. I don't do extreme sports, so I'm not protected from the weather. low resale value? No problem, I plan to use this for a long time. I don't think I need another lens. 3 example images for portrait/enlargement, in doors and outdoors. I didn't spend much time looking at these photos, just point and click.
