Like buying a Rolex from a Manhattan street vendor, a great counterfeit in terms of feel, weight and mechanical properties. However, as I did after reading other posts, the circuit that allows the car to start eventually failed. Strangely, the door lock buttons continued to work properly. I only had a cut key, I lost one of the original remotes, so I opened the broken remote's case and replaced the circuit board with the original remote. I still had a second new remote with an uncut blade, broke down and went to ACE Hardware where they cut it for $75. Still high cost but about half of what the dealer and locksmiths are asking for. I programmed the second one and now we're back to "normal" but I know that other remote will eventually fail. So I'm going to get two more as backups. When we've gone through all of them, we'll probably look for another car. Must be 4 to 6 years old.
