If your vehicle is made in Canada, be sure to ask your mechanic if they can sync/activate the transponder. One locksmith I found didn't have software for Canadian made cars, but they did have a side key machine that cost $86.42 to cut the keys. My next stop will be a Chevrolet dealer to program the keys.

Excellent replacement cases for original key parts.

Bought to change the insides with the original keys whose buttons were damaged. Easy to take apart and put back together. I had to cut a bit around the hole where the key release button goes, but I expected the same amount, so it's not really a minus. Extremely fast delivery. Constant communication via email at every stage of the delivery process. New keys are not required, so I cannot check the functionality of the electronics. But in general +

Easy to program, works great.

These remote controls are perfect for replacing two broken ones. They were very easy to program on a 2012 Chevy Cruze. The only problem I had was how to cut the blanks. I had to visit various key locations before finding a locksmith that had the right blank cutting machine. It also cost $35 per key to cut, so it wasn't as cheap as a regular key. It's not the fault of the product, it's just that the type of key the Chevy Cruze uses isn't a standard key that's easy to cut.

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Only available in white

We liked it very much. My Camaro had a recall where they took a flip key and turned it into a regular key. Meanwhile, my wife and I broke the lock and unlock buttons on the remote. So we just pulled the guts out of our old remote and installed them inside. I put a new separate key on the newly assembled console and boom, everything worked. No programming, no key cutting. I realize it won't be the same for most people, but if you're in the same situation, it's very simple.

Bought to replace 2010 Camaro key fobs

I bought these to replace our damaged 2010 Camaro key fobs but couldn't program them myself. The card that came with it sent you to a website to reprogram the key fob. However, he just told you how to reprogram the key. Unfortunately, the 2010 Camaro key fobs were recalled and replaced with a separate key from the fob (which we didn't know until we got it - we're the second owner of this car). We didn't need a key, just a key fob. After much research, it turned out that the key fob cannot be…

Electronics does not match the quality of OEM

Like buying a Rolex from a Manhattan street vendor, a great counterfeit in terms of feel, weight and mechanical properties. However, as I did after reading other posts, the circuit that allows the car to start eventually failed. Strangely, the door lock buttons continued to work properly. I only had a cut key, I lost one of the original remotes, so I opened the broken remote's case and replaced the circuit board with the original remote. I still had a second new remote with an uncut blade…

Good price quick and easy for my 2011 Camaro

Great price compared to a trip to the dealer. I have a 2011 Camaro and it worked great. One of my keys was worn out and broken, one had water damage and wouldn't unlock or lock the doors. I removed the blades from my original keys by half opening the Switchblade and prying the pin out with a small screwdriver, then replacing the blank blades with the original blades. According to the instructions, reprogramming took 10 seconds. Super easy and fast! The shape and function of these buttons are…

You work for a while.

I purchased this key fob kit to replace a broken key fob on my 2014 Malibu. For those unfamiliar, the GM flip blade keys used on several different vehicles this year are notorious for being weak and breaking. Replacing a key at the dealership can cost hundreds, and since these keys don't require special service tools to program, they seem very worthwhile. I replaced the bare blade in this keychain with the original blade from my broken key. This can easily be done with a punch and a small…
