I wasn't impressed with the 9V removable memory modules and really wanted something more powerful. I have a few other Schumacher products and am confident in their quality and design so this was my first choice. The problem was that I don't have a second car or charger with an extra input. I solved the problem by buying a cigarette lighter AC adapter that you plug into a household outlet, or an extension cord to convert 110V to 12V. Revain have several models and I chose this one with a good rating: AOKII AC to DC Power Socket Adapter Converter, Car Cigarette Lighter Charger, Household Cigarette Lighter (from 110-220V to 12V). Both worked well and I had no trouble connecting to a 2012 Toyota RAV4.
