Review on πŸ’» Dell UltraSharp 30 PremierColor LED Monitor with HDMI - 73GTT, 60Hz by Cory Peverelle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Probably the last of the 30 " 16:10 monitors and the best yet!

One of the few 16:10 aspect ratio monitors available, very large, very sharp and with excellent color accuracy. I used to have a Dell U3011 which I bought in 2013 and after five years of 8-10 hour daily use it was getting progressively dimmer and before no other 16:10 options were available I decided to get the latest version of it buy 30 inch dell monitor. 2560 x 1600 resolution monitor with LED backlight, not CFL that will fade over time. Comparing this monitor to my previous 30 inch Dell monitor is like night and day. This monitor looks much sharper at the same resolution, the contrast is much better and the colors are brighter but not oversaturated. It's amazing how you get used to these visual qualities, which gradually deteriorate over time, and how much you appreciate them when you can put both monitors A/B side by side and compare them. I originally received a defective U3017 that had a noticeable pink cast. On the left side of the screen, however, Revain happily took it back and the second has no noticeable issues, running a battery of color uniformity/brightness and dead pixel tests - all good. I've been using it every day for almost two months and I'm very happy with the purchase. If you do a lot of photo editing like me or even spend a lot of time reading complex documents and want the page to be taller not wider, then this is your monitor!

  • Nice display, not a single dead pixel.
Cons
  • Low refresh rate: When the monitor refresh rate is too low, motion may appear blurry or slow.
