Give it a 4.5 star rating, a few issues brought my rating down a bit but not by much. The disadvantages relate to the preparation of the surface for chrome plating. It didn't spread evenly everywhere. There were also sharp ridges that I scraped. The potato eye remover on the Y-shaped peeler had one of the ridges on it, and besides, it's not very handy where it is. Maybe it would have worked better downstairs. Another minor issue but I wish many of these were hung on hooks for easy access in the kitchen. A hole at the bottom for hanging a tool would be nice. Good thing. The blades are sharp and the hinge allows you to bend over the rounded surfaces of potatoes, apples and other vegetables. The side-wrapped version of the stick has a julienne cutter and is easy to use for carrots and rind on large broccoli stalks (I think the inside of the stalk would taste best if you remove the rind). I love this set and I know that due to the price it's hard to get perfect quality. I would pay double for a quality set with this design, maybe not everyone but I think the design is good enough for many home cooks to get their hands on. By the way, the potato eye remover works well on a side-wrap carrot peeler. highlighted.
