A good commercial vacuum cleaner with its own features

I have worked in the vacuum cleaning industry for several years and have recently moved into retail. I've had my eye on this vacuum for a long time and when I started my new job I realized I needed to replace an Oreck XL commercial vacuum that had previously been used due to beating and abuse. We now use this in combination with a large vacuum to vacuum 20,000 square feet of retail space with all standard carpet tiles. Before I bought this I was looking for replacement parts as if I remember correctly this vacuum is no longer made by Hoover. There is also a range of spares, particularly consumables such as filters, belts, brush rolls, bags, handles etc. We have been using this vacuum for about a month and we love it. It's used by many part-time teenagers who don't necessarily care about being careful with such devices, and it's held up very well with trouble-free use. The plastic case is of good quality, doesn't scratch or scrape, so looks almost new. The front bumper is very large and prevents damage to the device and objects it bumps into. The extension that it comes with is a very good quality 40ft high visibility cord, although I thought it came with a 50ft cord when I bought it. Silent mode is great for us as we need to vacuum in-store with customers on a regular basis and as a customer I can't try to concentrate on browsing while someone is trying to vacuum with a typically noisy commercial vacuum. We keep it on gain and when the customer approaches us we put it in sleep mode and we can easily talk to the customer by the sound of the vacuum. The hose is a decent length and the tools that come with it are great. I had a few concerns about the vacuum before I bought and used it, and those concerns quickly went away once I started using the unit. The first was the pocket system. It uses a bag system very similar to the Hoovers T-Series residential wind tunnel, where you place the bag in the bag door and not directly on the inlet in the bag compartment. I've worked with some of these other models that always had bag connections that leaked, so dust was a common problem in the bag compartment (which I don't like because it means dust gets into the motor and shortens its life). This vacuum cleaner doesn't have this problem (we only use yellow allergen bags, I think standard single ply white bags are different). The rubber coating of the bags plays a major role in this. I was also concerned that the handle would loosen or have play over time as it is not screwed on but held in place with a latch. As soon as I installed the handle after vacuuming, I noticed how tight it held, so I don't see it coming loose anytime soon. My only real complaint with this vacuum is the rubber/plastic squeegee behind the brush bar. We need to set the carpet height for heavy duty because the carpet setting is too high for the commercial area (this may be because our carpet is very tangled and worn in some places), but with the high walking height, the squeegee strip is better on hard floors to use touches carpet and makes pushing difficult. You can feel the strip moving back and forth as you move the vacuum and if you have too high a vacuum angle sometimes it gets stuck and you have to lower the handle to move it again (I'm not sure , if there is a better way). explain this). This, combined with the heavy weight of the handle, makes cleaning this big shop a bit of a workout (by comparison, our vacuum is heavier, but much easier to vacuum due to the lighter handle weight and lack of a mop strip). Now for some pros). and cons in summary: Pros - Overall good build quality - Can be used many times - Efficient dust filtering when using allergen bags - Permanent belt system - Availability of consumable parts - Nozzles and hose not common in commercial vacuum cleaners - Quiet even in boost mode - Excellent Suction power - Low side profile to get under retail shelves - Can drop to the floor without having to squeeze the handle a second time (many vacuums have a notch when you reach about 45 degrees that you have to push in and release the handle again loosen to move it further down.Able to remove the bottom hose of the blow molded nozzle to check for clogs very easily, as well as the main hose which is used for easy cord replacement - tool free access to get around every part of the vacuum to repair cleaners minus bags are expensive, especially all ing bags and they are not always easy to find - heavy handle weight - no extra udli No cable/telescoping extension on existing probe - foam padding between hose and extension tube (I've never liked foam pads that attach to adhesive from my experience attaching vacuums , but it seems to be the only foam pad on the unit that is held in place by adhesive - Only three real carpet height adjustments, it would be helpful to have more height adjustments - the elbow where the hose meets the back of the body to the bag inlet, is not clear on these newer models as shown in the pictures, it would be nice if it were clear to check for obstructions - The bottom cord wrap has a quick release feature if you turn it sideways to remove the cord (similar like Windsor/Sebo vacuums) but it's never been easy to wrap around to spin old line, so we just wrap the line around. our hand and hang it on the top hook instead of wrapping it around both
