Review on πŸ“· Rokinon 85mm F1.4 AF Canon EF Mount Lens: High-Quality Black IO85AF-C Lens for Canon Cameras by John Love

The Rokinon 85mm F1.4 AF lens is NOT a reliable lens

It was a waste of money and time. I'm still crazy about the purchase, I'm very disappointed. Heat is good when you can finally get a picture that isn't blurry. It doesn't matter if the camera is on a tripod or at hand, or if the shutter speed is fast or slow. Looks like a bad lens. I tried 3 different cameras: brand new 5Ds, 5D Mark III and 90D. Auto focus or manual focus sometimes doesn't matter, but sometimes I'm lucky, I have a good picture. There is no image stabilization. with this lens. I had to use my 50, 35, even 70-200 instead. It's so awkward.

Pros
  • Aperture range f/1.4 - f/16 and consists of 9 elements in 7 groups (including 1 hybrid aspherical lens)
Cons
  • Protection
