I haven't gone completely down the rabbit hole on fountain pens, this is only my fourth. What I can say is that I've finally found a fountain pen that I love and truly enjoy using as my everyday writer. The extra fine nib is exact but doesn't try to cut through the paper and the weight and feel are perfect for me. Some prefer a larger barrel, which I can understand depending on individual grip style and writing position. I don't imagine this will feel too thin for most though it is not as fat as some popular models. The cap fully posts without being loose, and placing it back on top of the nib provides a snug fit and pleasurable snap ensuring both that the cap is secure and that there is a good seal to prevent rapid ink drying. I find the filling procedure to be fairly easy (make sure the nib is fully submerged in the ink) and the capacity allows for plenty of writing to be done before needing a refill. It will also accept cartridges, which I find handy in a pinch but prefer the plunger as it will always hold a greater volume. Nice case, great pen, my favorite nib so far. For those who struggle to find the perfect balance between ultra fine nibs and a glossy smooth writing experience, I understand your struggle. Perhaps there is no perfect balance, but I recommend this pen wholeheartedly and can say that it has feedback as it writes, but not a terrible scratchiness. Though I've only owned 4 fountain pens, I have tested dozens and this is the best I've found for getting plenty of ink to the page without sacrificing precision. Astounding quality for the price.
