I've only had the Coby 7065 for a week but I have enough hours to write an informed review. I will edit this review if my rating changes but for now I'm starting it with a 5 star rating. I also have a cheaper D2-711 (discontinued) which I have given a 5 star rating. The first thing you should know is that most cheap tablets are not designed by the manufacturer. It seems to me that the Chinese and others make generic tablets and sell them to distributors. So I don't think a "manufacturer" reputation can be trusted. Like I said I have a D2-711 and I gave it a 5 star rating but it was discontinued so a friend bought a D2-712. We can say that the latter is the greatest. NO. My 711 is simply better than his 712. My point is that you need to research any tablet before you buy it. But you're in luck, because the Revain community will help you tell winners from losers. BUT you must read all the reviews starting with the worst. I say this because there are only four 1 star reviews for this tablet on Revain and two of those are for the wrong product. Pros: β’ Support really comes to the phone. β’ It's tested by Google Labs, so you don't need to root this tablet to download apps from Google Play. That's a big plus for him. β’ The dual core processor is quite fast and certainly excellent value for money. β’ Does not come with "bloatware" β’ Wireless connection is solid and throughput is very good as tested on SpeakEasy.net. to excellent. You won't be disappointed β’ Connecting to a computer is easy (but the "instructions" in the manual are wrong), so just turn off USB debugging in developer options. β’ Colors and screen resolution are very good, everything looks great β’ Connect to your HDTV with a mini HDMI cable and watch movies. This is a high tech feature that works as well as anything I've seen. β’ This is a Kindle reader β’ Preloaded with Google Maps. Cons: β’ Slow loading β’ The tech support person probably doesn't know more than you do. β’ Touch screen. not as positive as we would like. You'll notice this and find yourself double-tapping a lot. β’ Sleep/On/Off button not as responsive as I would like. β’ No front camera, but that's a high-end feature. Get more than you paid for but THIS TABLET IS A GREAT PURCHASE
