TruDog: Exorbitant Prices and a Small Inventory

As a pet owner, I only want to provide the finest for my animals. Despite my gratitude for TruDog's concern for the safety and well-being of pets and my admiration for the quality of the ingredients they use, I am frustrated by the restricted variety and high cost of their products. TruDog has a smaller variety of pet supplies than its competitors. Their food and supplement variety is adequate, but not as extensive as that of some of their rivals. This can be inconvenient for busy pet owners because it makes it harder to locate everything you need for your pet in one place. In addition, even when comparing identical items, TruDog's costs are much higher than those of competing pet supply retailers. I get that it might cost more to use high-quality ingredients, but I don't believe the premium is warranted here. Many pet owners, particularly those on limited incomes, cannot afford it. While I applaud TruDog's focus on quality and their devotion to pets, I believe the company could benefit from a review of its pricing and product offerings. I'll have to look elsewhere for the time being if I want to supply my companion.

Pros
  • recurring contributions to animal shelters and relief groups.
Cons
  • Not every product is appropriate for every breed of canine.
