Review on Pellon PLF36 Lightweight Fusible Interfacing by Heather Shaw

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I use it for many things including face masks

This is a fusible pad which means it is a stiffener that sticks to the fabric and is the only kind I use. It's lightweight and adds a bit of stiffness while remaining flexible. I've been using it for many years now and it has never let me down. The instructions are great and easy to follow. I use it to stiffen almost every fabric I use. If I cut out a specific shape on the back first, it's much easier for me to cut accurately. It also makes it a lot easier to feed the fabric through your machine and gives things like buttons more support. It is 100% non-woven polyester and seems to be the recommended choice for most face mask model makers these days. I've used it to make masks for my family and friends and it's quite breathable. It can be easily cut with scissors or a disc cutter. It sticks together with a gentle heat of the iron and I've never had a problem with delamination. It comes in different densities, although I usually use it for everything. This review was paraphrased by my wife, a seamstress and quilting professional.
