Review on Samsung Genuine DA29 00003G Refrigerator HAF CU1 2P by Philip Latham

So I've had a Samsung RFG297AABP fridge for 10 years. The filters that Samsung makes for this fridge have been replaced several times, luckily now for the better. Over the course of a few years, Samsung changed the way these filters were made: instead of two filter bags, the refrigerator had 3 filter bags. And they swore it would fit, but it didn't. You either had to buy a secondary filter, which didn't last as long, or you "operated" on your filter with a utility knife and cut off that third notch. I needed a filter and couldn't find a secondary filter. I bought last time so I figured I'd have to cut some things down. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they finally realized that we weren't all crazy to tell them their updated design didn't work. This filter arrived with only two cut outs and it fits. It took pretty good body English/solid two-handed pressure to get him to sit up and lock - more than I remember. But I'm glad it happened because the previous filter I replaced partially fell off and water leaked into the fridge last week. I still don't know how it happened. Definitely look at the picture that shows two notches. This is what you want to see if you have the fridge model I have.
