I don't always have time to let my wine breathe before drinking, especially with a bottle that's only used once a day. In company, I would break a decanter of good wine, but that's too much for everyday use. Enter Vinturi which is great value for Revain. They help you unlock the potential of medium and higher quality wines with minimal effort and time, but they don't magically make bad wine good. There is a noticeable difference between aerating wine and not. I rarely used the optional filter cap. And yes, the gurgling hiss is a scream. Within the first five minutes. I can't really tell any difference in functionality between the "white" and "red" versions of the wine other than the color, but the color helps me avoid mixing the two versions in multiple bottles. Rinse the aerator under clean water after each use and allow to dry. Leaving them moist in small rubber holders is just one way for bacteria and mold to multiply as water gets trapped between the Vinturi and the rubber holder. Carry bag packed with red. Perhaps this was an oversight on the manufacturer's part, but it was too late to fuss. Like: Works as advertised.
