Bad Design - Receiver and Amplifier

This amp had potential but too many bad design choices to be really good. For example, when using Line mode, you can control volume by attenuating the input signal (changing the volume on the source device). With Bluetooth, however, the source level remains fixed, so the only way to adjust the volume is to physically walk up to the device and twist the knob. And no remote control, although that would be cheap today. Worse, in Bluetooth mode, the volume knob doesn't have full range. Below a certain point the volume shuts off completely, although it's still quite loud, but I'd like it to be quieter. I can't adjust it at the source, this level is fixed up to a certain point, after which it drops immediately. If only I could adjust the source level for Bluetooth, I could put the volume slider in the right place. for the situation and fine-tuning with the volume control of the source (i.e. my cell phone). Instead, I don't have the realm of control I want _at all_. Additionally, this device is very eager for Bluetooth pairing no matter what mode it is in. and then i get home and my phone automatically connects and starts streaming all the phone audio to speakers i didn't mean to use and didn't even switch to that source! The only way to "fix" this is to disable Bluetooth on my phone or manually unpair it (which will require re-pairing next time I want to use it). When it's in Bluetooth mode and audio is playing, I've found literally NO way to switch it back to line-in mode other than physically turning the device off and on again. It's not terribly inconvenient since there's no remote control anyway, but it's a very unintuitive UI design. The sound quality is not commented on as the UI design is too disappointing.
