It comes with everything you need to start a modest circuit at home. However, product labeling and compatibility information is very sparse for the Scalextric brand. There are different types of tracks and cars, and different levels of First Note compatibility. This starter will be installed on the FACT STARTING track. It is not the same as Classic Scalextric, Sport Scalextric or Digital Scalextric. It's on your START line. Which, by the way, is being discontinued by the manufacturer. The track parts in this kit are only compatible with other types when using the converter included in the START track kit. But here's the problem. This kit contains only one converter. You will need more than one to add expansion track kits to this kit. This is not the converter that Scalextric currently sells, or it has a completely different connection type than what you need. Same as START kit, OUT OF PRODUCTION! Basically, you will find it very difficult to add a track to this set. Other Scalextric starter kits in the same price range do not have this problem. I recommend to anyone who is over it. They might cost $10 more than these, but it's worth it.
