I've ridden in these shorts about 4 times and love them (sorry Fox your stuff is too fragile). The most important thing for me was to find shorts with a belt loop; I like to wear a belt on my jodhpurs so my butt doesn't hang around all the time (you know who you are). They also have plenty of pockets (with zips) to keep your belongings safe. The 2 front pockets are very deep so that nothing slips out. There are two velcro straps on the legs in case you need to tighten them for some reason (I haven't found the reason yet). I bought the version with the liner that came with it. That's enough for my purposes (12-15 miles on a mountain bike). I plan to buy a second pair.
